Department of English – Lecturer (Full-time)

Responsibilities
 
The appointee will be responsible for teaching the current English language modules offered by the Department.  The appointee will be expected to develop current and new modules to further strengthen the University’s English language curriculum.

 

Applicants Should
 
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree (preferably with a PhD degree) in English literary studies or related disciplines, with teaching experience at the tertiary level.  Their approach to language teaching should be culture-oriented (e.g. Learning English through films, popular music or great speeches).  They should also be able to develop innovative modules in alignment with the Department’s plan for restructuring the curriculum.  The ability to secure external funding on teaching and research would be particularly welcomed.
