The University now invites application for the Research Project “Inference for Multiple Change-points in Piecewise Locally Stationary Time Series”, funded by the Research Grants Council:

The appointee will assist the project leader in conducting research in field of statistics.  Research duties include, but not limited to, literature review, model building, statistical programming, and conducting simulation studies.

• possess a master’s degree, preferably with a doctoral degree, in Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines;
• preferably have experience in time series techniques, bootstrap resampling methods and statistical programming;
• be proficient in programming languages such as R;
• have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• be able to work independently.
