Physical Education Officer – Student Affairs Office
(Ref: PEO (SAO) 2021-09-17)

Responsibilities
  • plan, organise and promote sports and physical education training courses, activities and workshops;
  • organise inter-institutional sports competitions and university-wide sports events;
  • support University Sports Teams and handle related administration and logistics, including training and competition schedule arrangement sand budget preparation;
  • supervise the Physical Education Assistants and monitor the operation and safety of different sports, SAO venues and equipment.

 

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised degree, preferably in Management / Physical Education / Sports / Recreation;
  • have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with some supervisory experience and some experience in arranging sports competitions and managing sports teams;
  • preferably have recognised coaching certification, issued by the respective national sports bodies;
  • preferably possess a valid first-aid certificate;
  • have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
  • have effective administrative abilities and strong organisational skills;
  • have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • be able to work independently and efficiently.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings, on weekends and public holidays. Applicants with work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.
