Assistant Manager / Senior Officer (Facility Management Services) – Campus Development and Management Office
(Ref: AM/SO (FMS) (CDMO) 2021-09-10)

Responsibilities
  • manage facility management services teams to provide campus facility management services including security and cleaning services, booking system, venue set up, relocation, transportation, carpark management, space management, access control, campus mailing and printing;
  • manage the planning, design and implementation of alteration, additional, fitting-out, improvement, repair and planned maintenance works to existing premises on campus, buildings and outside centres;
  • prepare tender and procurement documents for facility management services and project works, and closely monitor the outsourced services contractors' performance;
  • propose/review policies, guidelines and procedures with respect to facility management services;
  • regularly conduct facility inspection for services improvement; and
  • liaise with other units in Campus Development Management Office for alignment of facility management services to the stakeholders.

 

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
  • preferably be corporate member of related professional bodies such as HKIE, RICS or HKIS in relevant stream;
  • have 10 years of relevant working experience of which 5 years should be at similar level;
  • preferably have hands-on experience in building services installation and/or facility management in tertiary education institution building or hotel development;
  • have basic knowledge and some experience in using BIM;
  • be analytical & critical thinking with sound judgement, have excellent communication skill, and good problem solving ability and work independently; and
  • be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours.  Work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.   Applicants with fewer years of experience could be considered as Senior Officer.
