About the University

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is a non-profit private liberal-arts-oriented university.  It has five Schools (Business, Communication, Decision Sciences, Humanities & Social Science, and Translation & Foreign Languages), with around 6,000 full-time students and 200 full-time faculty members.  Adopting the unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, HSUHK is a residential institution which puts quality teaching and students’ all-round development as its highest priorities.  Aspiring to be a leading private university in the region, HSUHK features top-quality faculty members, award-winning green campus facilities, innovative degree programmes, impactful research, and excellent student development/support services.  Our aim is to nurture young talents with critical thinking, innovative minds, human caring attitude, moral values and social responsibilities.

HSUHK established the Honours Academy (榮譽學院) in 2020.  It is the first of its kind initiated by a Hong Kong higher education institution, to help groom the cream of young leaders of tomorrow. The Honours Academy of HSUHK aims at nurturing future leaders holistically by our three-year Academy education on top of their original academic studies at the University. For each cohort, there will be no more than 20 high-achieving year-two HSUHK undergraduate students admitted to the Academy. Each of them will go through their highflying journey with extra focused training composed of innovative and interdisciplinary curriculum, as well as diversified experiential development opportunities locally and globally.
