The University now invites application for the following position:

• monitor Linux/Windows servers and campus IT network status;
• install and configure Linux/Windows servers and network equipment;
• assist colleagues in diagnosing and solving the technical issues; and
• provide general technical support for the users.

• possess a higher diploma or above qualification in related discipline;
• preferably have 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience;
• have a good understanding in Linux/Windows/VMware server administration, e.g. host scripting and server configuration;
• have basic IT network knowledge;
• have some experience in using the log management tools;
• be willing to learn and explore the latest server and network technologies;
• be a good team player with a positive mindset and a pleasant attitude; and
• have good interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings and on weekends.  Applicants with work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.  Fresh graduates are also welcome.
