Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance – Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (Full-time)

Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for the planning, development, coordination and delivery of modules offered by the Department.  He/She will also be expected to involve in programme development, scholarly and administration activities of the Department / School / University.

 

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a PhD degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or related disciplines;
  • have strong subject knowledge, skills and competence in the academic or professional discipline concerned;
  • have a successful research record demonstrated by publishing papers in refereed journals;
  • have a designation from actuarial or insurance-related professional bodies; and
  • preferably have insurance industry experience or insurance-related tertiary teaching experience.   

Applicants for Professorship should have a regional standing in related research discipline and significant contributions to the profession / industry and the community.
