Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance – Assistant Professor (Full-time)

Responsibilities
  • teach actuarial science and statistics-related modules including but not limited to Predictive Analytics, Statistical Inference, Life Contingencies, and Loss Models;
  • liaise with the actuarial/insurance industry, organise professional talks/events regularly to share the latest development of the industry/practice and secure job/placement opportunities for students; and
  • publish in leading peer-reviewed journals in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related areas.

 

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a PhD degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related discipline;
  • have good research record and published in leading peer-reviewed journals in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related areas; and
  • have teaching experience at the tertiary level, preferably in Predictive Analytics, Statistical Inferences, Life Contingencies, Loss Models or other related modules.
