Assistant Director of Student Affairs – Student Affairs Office
(Ref: ADSA (SAO) 2020-09-30)

Responsibilities
  • assist the Director of Student Affairs in overseeing the planning, organisation and delivery of student development programmes and services to enhance students’ learning experience and support the strategic development of the University;
  • lead and work with teams in various functions, including communication and resources, scholarships and finance schemes, student organisations, campus life enhancement, support for non-local students and exchange activities;
  • collaborate with Residential College Masters, Associate Masters, Tutors, departments, faculties and students in coordinating effective management of the Residential Colleges, implementing the Residential College System and case management;
  • coordinate department-level and university-wide activities and projects e.g. First-year and transfer student experience, student groups with special needs; and
  • support the office in deliberating policies and practices in the operation, handling critical incidents as needed and coordination of activities for enhancing optimum performance.

 

 

Applicants Should
  • have passion for student development and learning;
  • have good academic and professional qualifications with substantial years of relevant professional experience;
  • possess very good leadership, planning, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • have good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); and
  • be able to work as an individual contributor as well as an effective team member.
