The University now invites application for the following position to work in the Research Project “Development of renewable energy for decarbonising and modelling sustainable transport and logistics operations in smart cities of the Greater Bay Area”, funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC):

 

Senior Research Assistant (Assistant Project Manager) – Department of Supply Chain and Information Management

Responsibilities
 
The appointee will assist in the development of research and development on sustainable transport and logistics. He/She will support the econometric modelling and environmental analysis on the emission mitigation impact of renewable energy vehicles. He/She will also assist in the project management, data collection and analysis, model development and publication work.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognized degree, MSc, or MPhil in Environmental Studies, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Supply Chain or a related discipline;
  • have at least 4-6 years of working experience in statistics and economic modelling, life cycle analysis, transportation analysis, renewable energy, or research and development;
  • have the ability to use software, such as SPSS, R, End-note, or eViews;
  • have passion in research and development in sustainable transport and logistics;
  • have self-motivated attitude, good time-management, interpersonal and organisation skills; 
  • have the ability to work under pressure, tight schedule and dynamic requirements; and
  • preferably have exposure on mainland China Greater Bay Area.
