The University now invites application for the following position:

• manage and support campus network and security equipment;
• manage and support various server systems, including virtual infrastructure; and
• assist in preparing user and technical documentation.

• possess a recognized degree or above in Computer Science or relevant discipline;
• have at least 5 years of one or more solid experiences in following areas:
  • Linux environment administration and host scripting
  • Windows Server Active Directory administration and PowerShell scripting
  • Server virtualization administration and operation
  • Database server administration (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle & etc.)
  • 2-layer network switch, router, firewall and VPN administration (e.g. Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, FortiGate & etc.)
  • Enterprise level WiFi system administration (e.g. Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco & etc.)

• preferably have relevant certifications of above areas;
• be willing to learn and explore the latest server and network technologies;
• have good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• be mature, self-motivated, good team player and willing to work on shift duties; and
• have positive mind-set with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants with more relevant experience may be considered as Senior Network and System Engineer.  The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings, on weekends and public holidays.
