Department of English – Associate / Assistant Professor (Full-time)

Responsibilities
 
The Department seeks outstanding candidates for the planning, development, coordination and delivery of modules in English Literature for the BA in English programme. Additionally, appointees will be expected to contribute to the development and operation of BA and MA Programmes to be launched in 2021 or later, to engage in research and scholarly activities and assist in other administrative duties.

 

Applicants Should
 
Applicants must (i) possess a PhD degree in the field of English Literature or a related discipline; and (ii) demonstrate the ability to teach Shakespeare and related areas. Specific interest and research expertise in one of the following would be an advantage: rhetoric, world literature or poetry related to the long nineteenth century.  A competitive research profile and track record of successful external grants or funding are also desirable.
