The University now invites application for the following position to work in the Research Project “A Hybrid Approach to the Translation of Government Press Releases: Integration of Translation Memories and Neural Machine Translation”, funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC):

 

Part-time / Postgraduate Student Research Assistants – School of Translation
(Ref: PSRA (STRA) 2020-01-17)

Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the project leader in (i) preparing data for the training and development of translation tools and (ii) evaluating and managing computer (-aided) translation systems.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognized degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field;
  • be familiar with web development or translation technology;
  • have excellent command of English and Chinese;
  • possess good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • be proficient in translation and cross-lingual communication.
