The University now invites application for the following position to work in the Research Project “Three-echelon collaborative slot allocation planning for liner shipping revenue management under uncertain demand”, funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC):

 

Research Assistant (Part-time) – Department of Supply Chain and Information Management
(Ref: PTRA (SCM-FDS14/E07/18) 2020-01-17)

Responsibilities

The appointee will assist in conducting research and development project and compiling research journal papers and reports.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognized MPhil or PhD in Supply Chain and Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Transportation, Environmental Science, Statistics or a related discipline;
  • have at least two years of working experience in research and development;
  • have solid experience in journal paper writing and publication;
  • have self-motivated attitude and good time-management skills;
  • preferably have experience in mathematical modeling and algorithm simulations; and knowledge in maritime logistics, product carbon footprint and life-cycle assessment.
