Department of English – Adjunct Assistant Professor
(Ref: AAP (ENG) 2019-10-11)

Responsibilities

The Department is looking for one or more Adjunct Assistant Professors to teach third and fourth year Literature electives for the BA-English programme. Teaching load would be one or two courses with three hours contact per module. Specific duties include preparing teaching and learning materials, delivering lectures, providing student consultations as necessary, and grading assignments.

 

 

Applicants Should

Applicants should have (i) a Doctoral Degree in English Literature or a related discipline; (ii) experience of teaching at undergraduate level or above; and (iii) a good command of written and spoken English.  Experience of teaching courses on eighteenth-century English Literature, Modernism, Literary and Critical Theory, or Cultural Studies would be an advantage.
